hapuna cabin camping

over father's day weekend we headed over to hapuna beach to camp at the a-frame cabins. it's pretty much camping, just that you have a small shelter to sleep in. that shelter has electricity, so i guess that's fancy. but the cabins are mostly screens, and at night the wind come down from mauna kea and it is so so gusty and windy. the kids slept through it but wes and i laid awake all night while the entire cabin rattled and my hair was blowing around in my face. it was fun though, and the kids had a super fun time. we hit 3 new beaches that we had never been too, so fun!

cooling off at hapuna beach with our favorite dad on father's day.

dinner in the cabin. (yes, i brought bunting to hang. adorable, right?)

sunset adventures.

beaching all day long.

someone fell asleep during dinner.

sunrise adventures!

yup, i think they had fun.

golden stingers!

coen just wrapped up another successful soccer season. wes coached again, and will coach again and again and again. that's how these things work. anyway, this was coen's season to really shine. he made so much progress and really took to the sport. we heard a lot less complaining. it was nice. i love watching him play, and look forward to many more Saturdays out on the field.

goodbye, kinder!

what a fun year! coen learned so much in kindergarten, it blew my mind. probably his too. the last day was packed full of fun, and i was lucky enough to spend the day in his class helping to organize the chaos.

first day!

last day!

i heart spoiling teachers.

saying goodbye to special friends and teachers.

 slip 'n slide fun!

hey you kinders, you are looking a lot like 1st graders!

i spent friday's in coen's class helping. i adored it. on the last day they gave me thank you notes, this one stood out. ha. i do what i can.
