family days

coen breaks up the week into school days, and family days. lately our family days have been pretty relaxed. wes is coaching coen's soccer team. so we hang out at the field a couple times a week. marin has the entire field to run free, but she just wants to be on the field with her brother, or in daddy's arms. i have to come prepped with endless snacks and the ipad.

 

lately the weather has been crazy hot. hotter than i ever remember it in prior years. so we have to make sure we take time to cool down at yogurtland. 

 mostly,  we spend family days at the beach.

back in april we hopped over to oahu to meet up with the fukutomi family. it sounds complicated when i try to explain who the fukutomi's are, but it's actually pretty simple...they are family. the youngest little fukutomi was competing in a fancy cheer competition in honolulu. we had a blast hanging out by the pool, playing on the beach, and watching so much cheerleading. thanks for letting us sweep in and crash your vacation. it was so very good to see you!

oh hey! i'm back, and this is me attempting to get caught up. ready, go!

 

after 3 weeks in oregon the kids and i headed up to seattle. wes met us there and we spent a week with family and good good friends. it was wonderful, and in no way did we have enough time with everyone. i think there will never be enough time. i was such a bad photo taker. but this is what we did.

 

 

we flew on more planes.

we ate mighty-o donuts. and they were mighty good.

we hung out with the pennebaker's and coen played with cortney's braid very creepily while she read to him.

so much cousin love. but still, not nearly enough.
