friday phone-dump (on monday)

quick story: 

coen has been into the song "down by the bay" so every night at dinner he is trying to make up his own quirky rhymes/sayings. except he doesn't quite get the rhyming thing so he just says things that are silly and make no sense and then laughs at himself. a couple nights ago, we were doing this around the table (yes, wes and i can rhyme) and he announced that he needed to go to the bathroom. he hopped down and headed towards the bathroom, then he turned around and said, "have you ever seen a guy, pooping outside?" 

we laughed. a lot. then coen pointed both fingers at us and said, "i will be back to say funny things and make you laugh, after i poop." 

the end.

friday phone-dump

holy guacamole, it's been a crazy couple weeks. but here is catch up. 

it's a girl. 

coen likes to eat lemons. so does wes. 

singing silly songs about being eaten by a boa constrictor gives my 3 year old horrific nightmares about boa 'constructions' resulting in having the said 3 year old in our bed. cozy.

honolulu is a beautiful city, and flying is fun for coen. 

pink clothes are fun to buy. 

croup is a miserable, miserable thing to deal with for both the sick child and the parents that are up all night. 

it has been a loooooong week.

3 weeks and counting till summer tour2012 and i can't wait to meet the baker half dozen! 

friday phone dump

another week of nonstop silliness with mr c. he is such a happy kiddo. (except when he's not, hence my summer reading of, "raising your spirited child"). you will probably see some blogging about this book since the first 5 pages seemed as if they were written after the author spent a day (or ten minutes) with my son. 

i am 19 weeks into baking baby2! i started to feel some good jabs and kicks once and awhile, and i can't wait till they pick up and become more frequent. we are having a level II ultrasound next thursday and are excited to get some good pics of this little bean, and of course we are looking forward to finding out the gender. coen got to go with me to my ob today, he was so excited he wore his dress-up scrubs and took his dr kit. the whole office staff pretty much died. that's cause it was cuuuuuuute. 

let's see, what else? coen is really into bath time, and started going under (no tubes anymore!). we planted a strawberry plant and had our first ripe fruit this week. there was only one, of course coen got it. everyday i wake up to the clip clop of little feet walking into my room and i love it, and him. 

have a super fun weekend. and heck, take monday off...it is a hawaii state holiday after all.
