week in review: 27

during week 27 i turned 31 and got to spend my day with these crazy kids. i know, they are too much.

soccer morning. i still maintain my claim that 4 year olds playing a team sport is the most cute thing in the world.

little sis on the sidelines.

end of game tunnel run...my favorite part!

to celebrate my birthday and also mother's day we headed over to kona for a couple nights. it was magical. we made a goal to stay by the pool as much as possible, only leaving if it was totally necessary. i think we managed to tucker them out.

breaky on the lanai.

ready, set, swim! c is just a little fish now. we are so proud of how well he does in the water!

yes, this really happened. no joke.

our island baby knows how to chill.

so do i.

lots of poolside naps and snacks. such a fun birthday weekend with my most favorites.

marin maisie - five months

i tried to tell myself that i was not going to be that mom that over achieved with the first kid to the point that there was no way on earth that i could possible keep up with child number two. ha!

there is not one, i repeat ONE framed picture of marin in our house.

her baby book is filled out through month um, three...or maybe it's only two.

it's just that having two kids feels like 500 times more busy than one kid. i love it. really, i do. it's fun to get to watch these kids that i grew become people. did i say fun, it is the MOST fun. ever.

anyway. our wonderful photographer friend took some adorable photos are miss m when she was 5 months. at last here is the rest of them.
did i mention that i loooooove her?

she has the best big brother. he really really loves her.

a new look

it was time for the blog to get a fresh new look. i love how it turned out, and i hope you will enjoy the new icons along the right side that will link you up with some of our favorite sites.

let me introduce them to you...

want to know more about the volcano, or wes' job? check out the hawaiian volcano observatory's website. volcanoes are really pretty neat. (and wes is too!)

USGS

the big island is pretty darn big compared to the other islands. but it is also the most diverse. there is so much to do and see. want to visit or know more about the island of hawaii? well, here you go.

The Islands Of Hawaii

oh pinterest. (enough said.)

okay, i am really excited about this. my good friend heather gave me a cookbook as a baby shower gift. it sat on my counter for several months, as we adjusted to our new family member. about a month ago i pulled it out, and it has pretty much stayed open ever since. coen has inhaled every single recipe i have made from this book. many of which are stuffed with things like kale, bok choy, edemame, and even tofu! the best part is that we love the food too. if you have kids, you MUST have this book. if you don't, you should still probably have it. the weelicious website is great too, and now you can get to it very easily from my blog.

week in review: 26

hello, month six! wow, how did that happen. marin is such a happy, busy, funny, loud little lady. she loves to watch her brother and it drives her nuts that she can't run around with him. yet. she is spending lots of time on her belly, trying like crazy to crawl. as much as i didn't want coen to be on the move this early, i really think marin will be so content when she can try to catch up to her favorite big brother.

baby girl play time! addy and marin hung out, while big girl geneeva showed off her super sitting and crawling skills.

i really love those cheeks!

cruising and snoozing in the double.

at last! marin will fall asleep in the car. it only took 5 months of hysterical screams to get her adjusted. i am so glad that is over.

bell pepper walrus.

little naartjie dress from bestie cortney.

morning snuggles with this bed head.

more baby girl play, but this time sophie is the show off, and quite the paci thief!

MAJOR pantry re-organization. this has me wondering if i can store everything i own in jars? i except the challenge.

i think this is her, "it is ridiculously hot" face.

or maybe it is, "this is a ridiculous hat."

or even better, "this is a ridiculously hott hat."

okay, i'm done.
