happy birthday papa john

while papa was visiting he celebrated his 55th birthday! we did our best to make his day extra special, i am pretty sure it is a birthday he will never forget.

a birthday trip to the zoo!

our big plans were to take papa up to the national park to explore the volcano and have a yummy birthday dinner. we made it to our first stop, thurston lava tube, and then our plans changed. coen took quite the digger into a park bench and split his head open. so instead of heading to a fancy dinner, we rushed to the er. but don't worry, he got a re-do on the bday dinner the next night.
